Description:

The Non-Traditional Student Peer Advocate is responsible for ensuring that all tasks relating to the office and the programs we offer are completed accurately and in a timely manner. This position requires coordinating with various individuals and organizations both on and off campus. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: Independently organize and prioritize responsibilities with consistency and positive results. Ability to be interrupted by priority items and return to previous tasks without losing focus. Knowledge of the center programs and scholarships, as well as non-traditional student needs and SUU Standards. Must provide support to students and staff, demonstrate the TAVI Way, and help ensure student success and retention. Ability to contribute to the development of programs and office ideas. Responsible for other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Part-Time Number of openings: 1 opening Salary/Wage: $8.00 per hour Work Hours: 10-20 hours a week, preference will be given to those available Monday-Friday from 9:00 am - 12:00 pm. Non-Traditional Student preferred (Flexible hours available). Dedicated, hardworking individual who is enthusiastic in demonstrating the TAVI Way as well as ensuring the success and retention of non-traditional students. Ability to articulate ideas and facts and be informative to others about the programs offered. Demonstrate a sincere concern for others and their well-being. Ability to speak in a positive, engaging, interactive manner Ability to function in a group, both as a leader and a supportive team member. High School diploma/GED College degree preferred Computer and word processing skills with efficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word) with ability to create/design advertising materials Excellent people and communication skills, as well as technical writing skills
